Like Dakota Fanning and Jodie Foster before her, preteen actress Chloë Grace Moretz won critical praise for her mature, assured performances in such films as "The Amityville Horror" (2005), "(500) Days of Summer" (2008) and "Kick-Ass" (2010). While still not quite 10 years old, she was already landing roles on television series. The "Amityville" remake showed her capable of handling dark material, and she soon segued into more horror projects like "The Eye" (2008). Stints on "Dirty Sexy Money" (ABC, 2007-09) preceded her impressive turn in "(500) Days," which in turn led to her breakout performance as a foul-mouthed but lethal superhero in "Kick-Ass." The subsequent rush of major projects she became attached to signified that Moretz's star was on a meteoric rise.
