'Tangled' reminds fans young and old that Disney can still produce magic even when changing course midstream, producing a near perfect family film with a lot of laughs and no split ends. The story of Rapunzel was left sitting in development for seventy years. The studio also fired the director and decided to take the classic in a new direction....

The release of Tangled marks the 50th Walt Disney® animated feature film. Since Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in 1937, Disney® has been creating animated adventures selling tickets to children and adults alike. Disney® has perfected the cinematic formula that allows the whole family to enjoy their cartoons by sticking to what they do best; underdog stories....

In this day and age when most children's movies are attempting to appeal to adults as well as youngsters with sarcastic asides and jokes just above a child's head it's easy to forget that at one time in the not so distant past children's movies were actually made for children. It might also be easy to forget a little company called Disney who once had a chokehold on the animated movie market....

A Rapunzel retelling could have become just a retread of the studio's past princess tales, but this genuinely charming, chintz-free story does something new: It takes the time to chill out, as its heroine might say.

Tangled is unusually attuned to the emotional frequencies of mothers and daughters, considering that, like basically every Disney/Pixar feature, its writer (Dan Fogelman) and directors (Nathan Greno and Byron Howard) are a bunch of dudes.

Disney's latest family flick 'Tangled' may look like the majority of animated adventures that have hit the big screen in recent years but, at heart, it is far more similar to the studio's best and brightest entries of yesteryear. That is to say that 'Tangled' is joyfully reminiscent of the studio's most magical pieces of cinema from the early 1990's, including 'The Little Mermaid,' 'Beauty and the Beast...

Well look who decided to show up and put out a flick worthy of people’s expectations. Walt Disney Pictures - specifically Animations - dug deep into its vault of numerous fairy tales and found just the right one to update for today’s audiences. Tangled summons back the magic the studio has been missing for almost a year now.One could make the argument that by sticking to animations, Disney really can’t miss....

"This is the story of how I died." If a person were going to guess what would the first words spoken in Walt Disney’s 50th animated movie, chances are they would not pick something so dark and gloomy; however, they would be wrong. These are the words that start the movie, "Tangled" a take on the fairy tale "Rapunzel". Almost everyone can probably recall the basics of the story of Rapunzel...
