Synopsis
Darling Companion: The wife of a self-absorbed surgeon named Joseph (Kevin Kline), Beth Winter (Diane Keaton) is decidedly lonely. One day, while out driving with her daughter, Grace (Elisabeth Moss), Beth rescues a stray dog and later decides to keep it. "Darling Companion" would have been a much better movie had its focus remained with its canine star who runs away from home as opposed to the humans who go looking for him.Granted, the new dramedy that Lawrence Kasdan directed from a screenplay he wrote with his wife Meg is not a total loss.
